Connect — Digital Life Network worldwide (2D, 3D, VR)

After almost three years of development and a one million Dollar financing, the Austrian IT-company e.com presents connect, the world’s first Digital Life Network in the Google Play Store (Android) and soon on Steam (PC, October). connect can be experienced on almost every device in 2D, 3D, or Virtual Reality, and integrates Multi Messenger functions (e.g. SMS, mail, FB…).
In the virtual, beautifully furnished loft, users can chat with all their friends, video telephone, play games, care for their virtual pet, send photos and videos and — with your help — also enjoy media content from all over the world.

In the loft which can also be experienced in Virtual Reality using a VR headset, there is a sofa, which represents the multimedia interface. Publishers like others who report about connectcan upload their media content free of charge, and make it available to users from all over the world via the user account with which they have access to the content offered by the respective media company. Print media have the possibility of uploading pages as a PDF file, which can then be found in connect as a 3D model. Items subject to charge are provided via the pay function in the app. The user has the advantage of being able to search for specific articles, filter the results, and have an overview of all media content from around the world. Media providers can, quickly and without effort, expand their target group globally, and are perceived as part of an innovative project.

Individualization allows Product Placement

.

At the Fifteen Seconds Festival on the 8th and 9th of June, e.com, after a two-year classified development phase, finally presented its VR-enabled Digital Life Network connect and received fantastic feedback. Michael Schoeggl, founder and managing director of the project, summed up that “We have received incredibly positive feedback, and numerous well-known companies have expressed their interest in working with us.”
This is not surprising at all, as connect offers the opportunity to showcase almost any brand through product placement in an interactive, fun, and yet unobtrusive way to its customers. The user alone decides which fixtures or furniture he or she uses to set up their virtual home. Everything can be customized and tailored — from the furniture, the view from the loft, and functional objects, up to the pictures on the wall. These customization options are not only — especially in Virtual Reality — particularly exciting, but also ensure that connect can be adapted to really every taste. Many other virtual settings like an archaeological camp, romantic places, or a spaceship, will follow soon.
