The ManO’War is great packed like we know it from other Razer products. The box has the well known green manowar-gallery-v1-5Razer-Color, but this is the only thing that shines in this green color. The Headset itself is in a discreetly matte black. We love the modern look and the decentan accents like the logo on the headband and the two illuminated logos on the ear cups.

.

The ManO’War is not the smallest Headset we have seen and seems rather clunky at the first glance. What we love is that the earcups and the headband have a thick padding. We love that, because only of a approximate weight of 375 g / 0.83 lbs and because of the thick padding it is not a problem to wear this Headset for a longer time. What we also like is that it is possible to rotate the earcups in 90 degrees. This additionally helps that the Headset is very comfortable. What we also like is that the Headset’s microphone, which is on the left side, is not only very flexible, but also retractable. User that do not need the microphone have the opportunity to disappeared it easily. User can also find on the left side an On-/Off-Switch, socket for the charging cable and manowar-gallery-v1-4a dial to adjust the microphone’s volume. What we like is that if you push this wheel you can mute the microphone. Razer installed a red-LED at the end of the microphone that shows if owners have muted it. Razer also installed a second dial on the right ear cup, too. Whit this you can control the Headset’s volume. It is also possible to push this wheel to mute the Headset.

.

Owners of the ManO’War will also find a USB docking station that has a two meter long cable. This is very useful if you can not or want to place the USB-transmitter not directly at the PC. Unfortunately, the loading cable is only one meter long. That means that it is not very comfortable to load and use the Headset at the same time. What we like is that the transmitter is only a very small USB-manowar-gallery-v1-8Dongle. If you do not use the Headset all the time it is possible to stick it in the right ear cup. This helps owners to not loose the transmitter quickly.

.

What we also like is that the Headset is immediately ready for use after connecting the transmitter and turning the headset on. Owners how do not want to give up the surround sound have to install Razer’s Software called Synapse. This software not only gives the Headset the great surround sound. It also allows users a lot of setting possibilities to calibrate the sound sources. It also offers a regular equalizer and special functions such as the bass boost, Voice manowar-gallery-v1-9Clarity or Voice Normalization. With this software it is also possible to change the chroma lighting of the logos which are on the ear cups. What we like is that if you have more than one Razer-Chroma-Product, you can synchronize the lightning effects of all Razer devices.

.

You can also use the ManO’War on your PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, there is no software that supports this Headset. This means, that you can only use the Headset in the stereo-mode. Unfortunately, this Headset has not a slot for a jack cable. That means that you can not use this Headset on your Xbox or connect it with you smartphone. On the one hand, this could be a negative point but on the other hand we noticed very quickly, that Razer focussed with this Headset on gamers.

.

Like we said it before, the ManO’War is a Wireless-Headset with a frequenz of 2,4 GHz. We can confirm, that the Headset’s range is about 12 meters long. What we also love about is how long the batteries life is. If you use the Headset in a it’s standard mode, you can enjoy it for up to 14 hours. In addition to that, if you turn off the lights, it runs even longer. What we that the Headset turns automatically off if you do not play any sounds.

.

.

Let’s talk about the ManO’War’s sound quality. If owners only use the stereo sound, the ManO’War provides a solid game sound with powerful basses and good transparency. The Headset is more interesting if owners manowar-gallery-v1-1turn the great Surround-Sound on. We can confirm that the sounds are such as great as you may know it from other headsets. We wished the sounds would be more clear and transparent, but the ManO’War is very powerful. We think that especially Shooter-Fans will have a lot of fun with the ManO’War.

.

Unfortunately, we have to confirm that we noticed very quickly, that Razer focusses with this Headset Hardcore-Gamer as users. That also means that it is unfortunately not a good Headset for music fans. But this is totally normal for a gaming headset. Those looking for audiophile quality to have a nice evening with classical music, engages to other headsets. Anyway, We can confirm that the 50mm drivers afford really great outstanding work for gamers. We also can confirm is that Razer did not skimp on quality on the Headset’s microphone as unlike many other manufacturers. We love it that our voice sounds very loud and clear for others and the Headset absorb annoying surrounding sounds.

.

First we would like to say at the end of this review: WELL DONE Razer. The The ManO’War convinced in almost all aspects. Especially PC gamers will enjoy the powerful surround sound. And thanks to good software owners have a lot of different setting opportunities like the calibration and the equalizer. Unfortunately, PS4 players only can enjoy the stereo sounds, but we can confirm that they are also really great. Additionally, we can confirm that the headset is well made. Despite to its clunky designs we can confirm that it is very light and comfortable. What we love is that Razer did not save their money to offer a great microphone which is often a weak point of other headsets.

.

Unfortunately, they do not include a possibility of an analogue connection. This would be the icing on the cake. But all in all, this is a really great headset that is worth the money. We had a lot of fun to test it. Our result of this review: A clear recommendation for every PC gamer.
