RETO MOTO Partners With Leading Nordic Entertainment Company Nordisk Film

RETO MOTO, the game studio behind WW2 game Heroes & Generals, partners with Nordisk Film, a leading Nordic entertainment company. Nordisk Film will invest USD 5 million for a minority ownership share in RETO MOTO.

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, RETO MOTO was established in 2008 by the original founders of IO Interactive and the creators of the Hitman series. RETO MOTO develops and operates Heroes & Generals, a free-to-play first-person shooter game where Germany, the US and the Soviet Union fight for victory in a grand online war. In a fast-growing community, more than 12 million registered players from all over the world have access to a huge arsenal of vehicles and weapons and take part in the ongoing fight.

Nordisk Film’s investment in RETO MOTO is part of the entertainment company’s overall strategy of investing in talented Nordic game development studios. The current deal is the fourth investment so far from the company’s investment unit Nordisk Film Games that has already acquired minority positions in Stockholm and New York based Avalanche Studios (Just Cause, Mad Max, theHunter) and Copenhagen based studios Flashbulb Games (Trailmakers) and Multiverse (Kogama.com).
