Chilling New Co-op Mode Comes to Warface

If you go down to the woods in Warface this Halloween, get ready for a spine-chilling surprise! Today sees the brand new “Cyber Horde” Co-op mode coming to Crytek’s free online shooter—challenging players to band together and survive an onslaught of terrifying enemies.

.

Set in the dead of night, Cyber Horde confronts Warface players with their scariest mission yet. As teams brave bleak woodland and deserted military facilities, they will encounter waves of enemies spilling out from a mysterious laboratory. And with nowhere to run, players will soon discover that Blackwood’s newest recruits are far from human!

.

To make it out alive, players must escort a heavily-armored vehicle through the woods and a confined road tunnel before detonating explosives in the heart of Blackwood’s lab. Only once the objective is complete will enemy reinforcements be cut off at the source. Along the way, the vehicle will stop at multiple clearings, leaving players exposed to attacks from their freakish foes. If they can survive each assault for long enough, an energy blast from the trusty Warface truck will clear the area and free them up to move on to the next checkpoint.

.

But it’s not just Blackwood’s horde that will be raising the fear factor this Halloween. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, players can also get kitted out in style thanks to a set of ghoulish skins, weapons, and items that are now available for a limited time.

.

Today’s Warface update comes hot on the heels of the game’s two-year anniversary. Since going live in October 2013, Crytek’s free-to-play FPS has seen the addition of 30 new PVP maps, expansive Co-op missions and much, much more.

.

Now players can experience the latest content to hit as they uncover Blackwood’s darkest secret and face their fears in Cyber Horde—an all-new Warface challenge that’s definitely not for the faint-hearted!
