Bethesda has announced that a select group of fans will get to participate in a DOOM alpha test set to begin in the “coming months.” This was revealed during QuakeCon’s opening ceremony. This selected group will be the first to play Doom’s multiplayer mode. Bethesda also released some new images which you can see in the gallery below.

To be a member of the upcoming beta pool, you needed to preorder Wolfenstein: The New Order. You have to redeem the key on the official Wolfenstein website. If you haven’t, you should register your key right now and you can have a chance to be selected for the Doom alpha. Those people who ordered a digital copy don’t need to do anything, according to the Bethesda blog.

The DOOM alpha will take place on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Unfortunately, Bethesda has not revealed a date for next year’s Doom beta.
