Huge Heroes & Generals Update Brings Legendary Weapons, New Scopes & More

Reto-Moto has released a huge update codenamed ‘Walker’ for the popular WW2 MMOFPS, Heroes & Generals, with new weapons, new scopes, new ribbons, ribbon level completion, tweaks and balancing, and more.

.

.

The legendary Sturmgewehr 44 assault rifle can now be unlocked by German Infantrymen and US Infantrymen can now unlock a new modified M1/M2 Carbine that is able to switch between semi- and full-auto fire modes. Soviet Infantrymen will have to wait a bit for their counterpart, but Reto-Moto promises that it will be part of the next major update. The option to switch fire modes is now also available for select other weapons.

.

To further top the fun, a large range of new scopes are now available as upgrades for semi-auto rifles, bolt-action rifles, the FG-42, the M1 Carbine, as well as the new StG44 and M1/M2 Carbine. The availability of the scopes depends on the weapon and the character class, with Recon soldiers having more and better options than Infantrymen and Paratroopers.

.

By popular demand, the Factory map has received an overhaul with lots of improvements to the layout and structure of the attack-lines and objectives, providing better cover, better flow, and a more fun gameplay.

.

Performance stats and community feedback have provided Reto-Moto with enough ammunition to adjust and correct armor and firepower settings for all vehicles, in order to bring them closer to historical data and to give a better balance between the factions.

.

The Walker update also introduces specialist ribbons, where each vehicle and weapon has its own ribbon that unlocks upgrades such as ammunition, supply and medic crates for vehicles, as well as triggers, barrels, internals, ammunition, sights, and scopes for weapons. Some ribbons that previously only held a few unlocks have been combined into a few new ribbons, giving players more frequent unlocks of weapons and vehicles. If you wish to speed up your character’s progression you can now complete the individual ribbon levels using gold and currently also credits.

.

These are only a small selection of the changes in the Walker update – a full changelog can be found here.
