“There are a lot of FPSs and MMOs on the market, but we wanted to do something different, something we used to like back in the ‘90s, and we decided to create a top-down shooter heavily inspired by that deep feeling of nostalgia,” said Denis Sidorov, CEO of Extreme Developers. “After meeting the guys from WG Labs, we realized they felt the same about our passion and could help us make our dream come true. So that’s how we ended up collaborating to create Hybrid Wars, and now we’d like to see what players think of our experiments in the genre.”

Hybrid Wars will be available in two editions. The Standard Edition priced at $17.99 / €15.99 includes the full game and the character, Alex Carter. The Deluxe Edition priced at $19.99 / €17.99 includes the full game, the additional character Jason Wood, the original Hybrid Wars soundtrack, and the digital art book.

Both DLCs will be released in autumn 2016, priced at $4.99 / €4,49 each.

You can also look forward to additional multiplayer modes that will be deployed in several free post-launch updates. There’s also a bonus for all Hybrid Wars owners that link their Wargaming.net Account: an additional hero, Ivan, as well as 3 days of Premium Account for Wargaming’s “World of…” series of games.

For the most dedicated fans out there, the Hybrid Wars Season Pass provides a discount on the 2 DLC characters and retails at $6.99 / €6,49.
