The way the case encrypts data is its main advantage. The SHE350 utilises the AES 256 bit XTS encrypting algorithm which, as assured by the manufacturer, is used by USA authorities. The device also has the FCC certificate.

The task of the SH350 is to protect the entire content of the HDD. No additional software is required to operate the case and you only need to input the PIN number to unlock the device. The PIN can be 4 to 8 digits long, which translates to 10 million possible combinations. The device has a LED light indicating its current status.

Accident? No big deal!

It may happen that the case suffers physical damage. This doesn’t mean all the data protected by the SHE350 is gone. You can restore the content of your HDD using a password and the case’s serial ID.

To facilitate fast encryption and decryption without issues, this Zalman case has been equipped with a 32-bit processor and USB 3.0. It means that the case is compatible with any device equipped with USB.
