TERA: Fate of Arun – New Dimensions Update

Gameforge and developers Bluehole are today releasing the latest update, New Dimensions, for the action MMORPG TERA: Fate of Arun in Europe. Two new PvE instances and a PvP battleground will be opening their gates, together with updated versions of two classic dungeons filled with new dangers. These new contents will be available to all players from today.

A sneak preview of the new instances can be found in the trailer here:

All Together and Every Man for Himself!

.

The new battleground, Gridiron, sees two teams of 15 players facing each other in furious combat. The victors are the first team to reach 70 kills, or the team with the most kills when the time runs out. Since the individual score is vital to success, this battleground offers players who otherwise have no strong links to a group the chance to play a decisive role in their team’s victory.

Of Time Travel and Ancient Gods

.

Akeron’s Inferno is open to 10-player raid groups, and with the additional hard mode even offers professional guilds a stiff challenge. Tasked with preventing an ancient god from breaking free of his prison, the heroes must confront 4 bosses and countless normal enemies.

.

The second new instance, Timescape, opens a portal into a parallel universe through which a strange race is plotting the invasion of Arborea. The players must journey through this portal and foil this planned assault before it can take shape. The dungeon is designed for five players and also offers a challenging hard mode.

.

Alongside the two new dungeons, there are two five-man instances returning to the game in an updated form – Vault of Kaprima (previously Fane of Kaprima) and Shattered Fleet. In each case the difficulty level, the enemies, and of course the loot, have been updated to match the new level cap.

.

In addition to the new playable content, the update introduces various small tweaks to existing skills, as well as adding new ones for individual classes such as the Berserker. His Intimidation skill, for instance, now allows players to build aggro, making it possible for the class to be used as a tank for the first time.
